Renovation and expansion Sperlgymnasiums
1020 Vienna, Kleine Spergasse 2c+4

Client: Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft m.b.H.

Construction time: 2 years and 1 month

Construction specification:

The approximately 2,100 m² extension is directly connected to the existing building. An elevator was built at the “interface” between the two buildings to ensure the necessary accessibility. The new building has six floors. The central cloakroom is located in the basement. On the ground floor and the four upper floors there are nine additional regular classes, the library, rooms for afternoon care including a warm-up kitchen, and free learning zones. Night ventilation and external sun protection ensure a pleasant indoor climate in the school. A climbing aid is attached to the facade for greening.
In the existing building, the surfaces and the building services were renewed. The fire protection was brought up to date and barrier-free was established. In addition, there are minor restructuring measures.
