Patent: 6-12-18-hr. road concrete
| The problem with renovating a concrete road surface is the time between the hardening of the concrete and when traffic is permitted to flow along it again. This used not to be possible until 12-24 hrs. after application of the concrete. Our company has succeeded in developing and patenting a road concrete that permits traffic to flow again as early as 6 hrs. afterwards. By this point concrete has reached a compression strength of at least 50% of the final figure. This is checked in situ using a so-called “maturity device”, with which the hardness of the concrete can be ascertained by means of a calibration graph. |
