As early as 1880, Pittel+Brausewetter built the complete sewerage system for the town of Bratislava, using concrete as a building material; the construction of the main sewer along the Vienna River in Vienna followed soon afterwards.

In 1887, Baron Adolf Pittel and Victor Brausewetter published their relevant expertise in their Practical Guide on the Planning and Building of Concrete Sewers.

For decades, the building of sewage disposal plants in countless communities and for various industrial enterprises has been an important field of activity for Pittel+Brausewetter.

Similarly, pipeline construction and the laying of tubing have become fundamental branches of business over the past twenty years, with Pittel+Brausewetter currently working as a contractor for the Vienna gas and electricity works and the water and lighting departments of the Vienna city administration, as well as for the EVN electricity works in Lower Austria.
